One reviewer in particular mentioned that he thought Dreamend, my project, sounded just like a band called satanstompingcaterpillars. I had never heard of them so I googled, located and pinged them via email just to share what the reviewer had said. We traded CDs (or CDrs I can't recall) and although we sounded NOTHING alike, we hit it off. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTom Fec, the main dude behind that project, mentioned he was in the process of changing to Black Moth Super Rainbow, a project he would be doing with his cousin, Ken Fec, and his high school buddy, Seth Ciotti. We all became quite close and Graveface went on to release many BMSR titles.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDuring one of our earlier \"hangs\", Ken mentioned he was starting a side project called Power Pill Fist that would use an Atari with a mod to create patterns that could become drum bits, bleeps\/blops or more traditional synth sounds. This, in conjunction with Ken's great bass playing, piqued my interest as a project. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe played a few shows together, and he recorded some songs, but I feel that \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003ePower Pill Fist was most \"realized\" as a project on this very album, Kongmanivong. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe tape elements with all the general chaos of the project give it an additional evolution beyond it being \u003cem\u003ejust\u003c\/em\u003e noise. This, of course, made this the most logical PPF album to press on vinyl for the first time.
